An installment to the Halloween series, meant to be the final chapter. However it only follows up a group of the sequels. The original Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, and Halloween H20: 20 Years Later. Merging the timelines of those two latter films that were made in two seperate continuities, but ignores the events of Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, and Halloween: Resurrection.

After the events of Halloween 4 Jamie Lloyd was locked up in an asylum and got therapy until she was released a few years later thought to be fully treated. Unknown to anyone it was because of Michael Myers' "death" in H4 that the evil passed onto her leading to her murdering her foster mother. Soon afterward however Michael was found and recessitated, allowing him to escape. However because of the events tha thad transpired the law believed Myers to have been dead and they decided to cover up what transpired that night to stop a panic. However, he later resurfaced in 1998 to have a confrontation with his sister Laurie Strode, leading to his final demise and the evil once again fully passing onto Jamie. Making her the new shape that goes on a mission to finish what her predecessor started. What the Shape truly is is not fully known. A mysterious dark ethereal power that is a representation of evil. It is unknown whether it was a being independent of Michael that drove him to kill or if it is merely the lingering spirit of Michael himself. John Tate, the son of Laurie Strode, must face this new enemy in the form of his sister and so like his mother before him he has to come to grips with the darkness within a long lost sibling for a final showdown.
